AMP-50 is a Geiger-Mueller counter that monitors an area in the range of low radiation.
It is specially designed to use for the low radiation rate zone using a high sensitivity Geiger-Mueller counter.
The AMP-50 detector responds linearly from 0.1 Sv/h to 40 mSv/h.
The probe head can be set in a filter cube, radioactive waste flow, near a resin tank, or inside a fuel pool (utilizing waterproof property).
AMP-50 can be used in two modes. One is to use as a portable meter and read the smooth digital readings locally. The other is to connect the meter directly to a remote monitoring system or a RS-232 port of PC (RS-232 cable is required).
Application fields
- Monitoring of low level radiation rate area (Independent spent fuel storage facility)
- Environment monitoring
- Waiting area protected from radioactive ray
- Monitoring of low level radioactive waste
- Boundary monitoring of facility or site
- Monitoring for emergency action
- Transportation of radioactive materials
- Monitoring of outdoor area
- Underwater monitoring
Features
- Wide range response from 10 R/h to 4 R/h (0.1 Sv/h to 40 mSv/h)
- Durable structure, waterproof detector housing and cable, user selectable internal alarm sensitivity limit values
- Because a connector can be removed quickly, cable length customization and radioactive contamination cleaning can be performed easily.
- Integrated RS-232 communication function allows connection with an area monitor system or WRM transmitter.
- Smooth digital display assures accurate and stable reading.
Technical summary
AMP-50 is a Geiger-Mueller counter for low level range, which is designed to be used continuously at a place where the exposure level is monitored.
This instrument consists of the following three sections: meter box including detector electronic parts, display unit and operation push buttons, probe head including Geiger-Mueller counter, and connection cable fitted with quick connection type connectors at both ends. The connection portion and probe head of AMP-50 achieves waterproof sealing performance that allows the use in up to 20 m water depth.
